Due to many circumstances such as personal illness, it has been 6 long years since we last had a Newfie puppie running around the house.
We are therefore thrilled to introduce our new girl Qliz Uma



She is a mix of both Swedish and famous American and Danish lines. She is also a carrier of White & Black colour and therefore an exciting addition to our breeding program. She is a well angulated girl with lost of personality and showmanship and we are looking forward to her future progress.

I have finally had some time to put up the 1 year photoshoot of Calypso, as well as some more photos from Crufts.

Calypso's father Int, Irl & GB Ch Edbrios Amadeus has been even more busy since last time and has won multiple group placings
as well as a All Breed BIS at the Swords International All Breed Show in Dublin!
He is currently ranked the 3rd Top Dog of All Breeds in Ireland!!

06/08.06.2008>>
"Dessie" not only wins the watertrial on both the Friday and Sunday but also gains enough points on the Sunday to progress up into open class.

On the Friday she got 146 points and on the
Sunday 162 points.
Judges were Ingalill & Benny Svanstedt.

This was here first competitions of the year and we certinatly didin't expect such good results with minimal traning.
But once again Dessi amazes us with her natural abaility and willingness to work.
A true Newfoundland at heart!

April/May.2008>>
Since I've had my exam period it's been quite a calm period regarding dogs and dogshows.
But Calypso's beautiful father Edbrios Amadeus has been busy and is now both Irish and British champion
and has also mangaged to go Reserve Best in Show!

He gained his British championship by going BOB 3 strait shows in a rown, the 2 lastest being at the prestigous
National Terrier and KBTA specialty show.
He also ended up BIS-4 at National Terrier!
(1780 terrier entered)

With 7 green stars and 7 BOB's he has also gained his Irish championship together with several group placements
and a Reserve Best in Show!

I'm very pleased to have a son after this stunning dog! Something to look out for in the future ;-

CRUFTS 2008
Calypso goes Best Puppy in Breed!

We are thrilled that our young boy showed
beatifully in a crowded and noisy environment with little previous experience,
and we would also like to thank all the people that came up to us and appreciated Calypso's conformation and look.

A excellent result for his last show as a puppy!

Calypso's father Edbrios Amadeus once again
goes BOB at the Newtownards Champ. Show
and receives a Green Star towards his Irish Championship. He also made the cut in the terrier group.
"Frankie" has truly matured and now has a beautiful blue colour, look at the photo from the show here.

You can't always have good news...
Today our very special grand old lady Natalia
(Swe Nor Ch Qliz Natalia) left us at at almost
11 yrs of age.
She was not only a sucessful showdog but also produced some beatiful puppies.
Most of all she was a true joy to live with and had that gentle invaluable Newfie temperament.

Only a few of her show highlights:
- Winning the CAC and gaining her Norweigan Championship and going BIS-4 at the world famous Morokulien show in 2001
with more than 100 entered Newfies.
- #2 Newfoundland Bitch 2004
- #4 Newfoundland Bitch 2000
- #9 Newfoundland Bitch 2001 & 2002
- #10 Newfoundland Bitch 2005
- #1 Veteran 2005
- BOS at the National Specialty Show 2004
- Multiple BOB and BOS Winner

Note that her wins in 2004-2005 was won as a Veteran!!
Not many are lucky enough to have such a healthy and youthful Newfie at that age....

Calypso goes BIS-3 Puppy under Mrs V Westwood (Kennel Nethertonion) / Francis Rundle (Breed)

Breed critique:
Grand head, beautiful ear carriage, great neck and shoulders, correct tail placement with grand power in hind movement,
showed really steady for a young Kerry, pushed the best of breed Kerry really hard. Best Puppy.

Couldn't be more happy especially since it's only Calypsos 3rd and 4th show ever =)

"Dessi" (MB's A Unique Design) attended her 2nd watertrial competition and got another win to her resumé!!
Yet again beating 9 other contestants in her class.

Today "Dessi" (MB's A Unique Design) attendend her first watertrial competition of the year and ended up in 1st place,
beating 9 other routined dogs!

"Dessi" keeps amazing us with her natural instinct in the water.
She has only had 3 training session this year and only 3 weeks ago she was trained to pull in a boat for the first time.
Look at the photos....she got it right from the beginning.
The competition was meant as a training opportunity and it never crossed our minds that she would do so good with so little training.
It shows that instinct and the right temperament goes a long way..BEAUTY and BRAINS.. ;)

Finally back home after a holiday in Sweden with lots of beautiful photos in the luggage.
Hopefully many of them will be published shortly around the internet.

Had a wounderful time with friends and family and was able to attend some showns.
Had the honour to help Monika Åkesson,
Kennel Cle Bas with her progency and breeder group.
Great teamwork gave us 2xBest Progency group and 1xRunner up Best Breeders group.
Kennel Cle Bas is currently ranked No. 8 Best Breeder in the country (All Breeds)!!

A new boy has entered the house!
After a long awaited move and we were finally able to have a new Kerry entering our lives again. =)
We are very proud to present:

Castleblu Shamrock Boy a.k.a Calypso

He is a well angulated boy with lost of movement and attitude, with the tail always on top.

We would like to pay our tributes to our dear friends Mr & Mrs Åkesson,
Kennel CleBas.

Mr Sten Åkesson who recently passed away was a successful judge and known for his hard and dedicated work
within the Swedish Kennel Club and other breed associations as eg. Chairman for the Swedish Newfoundland Club.
Together with his wife he produced some truly beautiful and top winning dogs.

Above all else he was a great friend and we miss him immensly.
We will always cherish the moments we have had together with Mr Åkesson and we hope to have many more together
with our dear friend Monika Åkesson.

Marine Bear's Biggles-My Boy.

He filled a very special space in our hearts.
