28.08.2009 Dessi wins the 2009 Swedish Watertrial Championship!!

We are really proud to announce that Marine Bear’s A Unique Design,
writes history by becoming the first ever Show Champion to win the Swedish Watertrial Championship!
And this at the tender age of 7 and 1/2 years!!

It was only exactly 2 months before the Swedish Championship that she became eligible to enter into Elite class, so we never would have thought that she would be able to perform all of the required elements and certainly not win.

Of course it could not have been possible without the outstanding help and support from family and friends! Certainly not everyone is willing to dive into ice cold water on a regular basis to help out a friend!!

I arrived back home in Sweden 1 o’clock in the morning Friday night, ready to show some newfies a few hours later on the Saturday at the prestigeous HUND2008 show.

Liz-Beth Liljequist, Kennel Qliz let me handle her “guest”
Swe Fin Rus Ch Kloofbear’s Lauri Torn Bernoban at his last show in Sweden before going back home to Kennel Bernoban Finland,
as well as handling her own breeding :Qliz Perikles and Qliz Independent Isis.
“Lauri” showed like a dream and went BOS and qualified for Crufts 2009.
With this win “Lauri” is now the #3 Top Newfoundland Male of the year in Sweden after only 6 shows! (subject to confirmation)

I also helped Monika Akesson, Kennel Cle Bas with her Breeders group and we won Group-5 out of 28 qualified groups of all breeds in the final, and this gave her the #6 spot as Breeder of the Year 2008 All Breeds.

We are thrilled to announce that Calypso now has been hips scored at the age of 1 1/2, with excellent results. A hips on both sides!!

Veterinary school can be time consuming at times, but I hope to get this good looking boy out in the showring during 2009! Well just have to wait and see…

24.08.2008 Introducing our new girl Qliz Uma

Due to many circumstances such as personal illness, it has been 6 long years since we last had a Newfie puppie running around the house.
We are therefore thrilled to introduce our new girl Qliz Uma

She is a mix of both Swedish and famous American and Danish lines. She is also a carrier of White & Black colour and therefore an exciting addition to our breeding program. She is a well angulated girl with lost of personality and showmanship and we are looking forward to her future progress.
More photos to follow as time flies by….. =)

The new design and look of our webpage is finally here.
Thera are still small changes to be made, especially with the photos as they are quite small when you click on them, but I hope to be able to update the page with higher resolution phtoso as time flies by. If you find that anything isn’t working just give us an email and we’ll try to fix it for you!

I have finally had some time to put up the 1 year photoshoot of Calypso, as well as some more photos from Crufts.

Calypso’s father Int, Irl & GB Ch Edbrios Amadeus has been even more busy since last time and has won multiple group placings as well as a All Breed BIS at the Swords International All Breed Show in Dublin!He is currently ranked the 3rd Top Dog of All Breeds in Ireland!!

Ladies Kennel Club Championship show
Calypso wins the Puppy Dog Stakes (BIS Puppy, almost 70 entries) and also goes best puppy dog in the breed and is now qualified for Crufts 2008!
Huge thanks to Charlotta Mellin (Kennel Rollick’s) for the beautiful groom on my boy!
Unfortunately we forgot the camera at home…well..next time..

Dessi aka Swe Ch MB’s A Unique Design went #5 Top Watertrial dog in the country after only 2 competitions!!
